Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we can’t think of anything better to do but share some stunning facts with you.

Breast Cancer Facts

• Over 250,000 cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women during 2020. There will also be about 50,000 cases of non-invasive cancer diagnosed.
• During 2020, it’s estimated that about 42,170 women could die from breast cancer in the United States.
• Men can also get breast cancer, although at lower rates. About 2,600 men will receive a breast cancer diagnosis during 2020, and over 500 might die.
• Most cases are diagnosed at a localized stage – about 64% of the new cases. When cancer is discovered at this stage, the five-year survival rate is 99%.
• One in eight women in the United States receives a breast cancer diagnosis during her lifetime.
• There are more than 3.5 million breast cancer survivors in America.
• New breast cancer diagnosis occurs every two minutes in the United States.
• Breast cancer is the second-most common type of cancer affecting women in America, below skin cancer.
