New Chevy Spark ACTIV Design Features and Release Date
The Chevy Spark is a compact car that makes getting from point A to point B easy and affordable. Now, Chevy is set to release a sportier take on the popular car in the form of the new Chevy Spark ACTIV, coming equipped with new design features and a release date set for sometime in the first quarter of 2017.
The changes made for the Spark ACTIV are all about making the car even more fun to drive. Once the model releases, it will provide trail-inspired accents and more sophisticated design components.
Chevy’s Director of Car and Crossover Marketing, Steve Majoros, had this to say about it:
“The new Spark ACTIV is all about adventurous fun and style. It has an attitude, while still offering the sophisticated, efficient and connected driving experience customers have come to love.”
Spark ACTIV Design Upgrades
Among the design features added for the ACTIV variation of the Spark are unique front and rear fascias. These have accents influenced by off-road skidplates and accompanied by a new 15-inch wheel design.
Other design components added to the ACTIV model include a unique grille pattern complete with the ACTIV nameplate, as well as round fog lamps. The Spark ACTIV also comes equipped with roof rails and contrasting wheelhouse moldings.
Spark ACTIV Additional Features and Pricing
Inside, the Spark ACTIV is outfitted with heated leatherette front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. For connectivity and safety, it has the OnStar Guidance Plan (free for three months), a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, a rearview camera and a 7-inch touchscreen display that provides access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto infotainment.
Despite all these additions for the ACTIV model, the vehicle is still priced affordably. The starting MSRP for the manual transmission model is $16,945, while the automatic transmission Spark ACTIV starts at an MSRP of $18,045.
