2018 Chevy Corvette Stingray
The Corvette is one of the most iconic sports cars ever made, and in 2018, it celebrates 65 years in production. Though the 2017 Chevy Corvette Stingray model was a big hit, Chevy has found some ways to improve the Corvette even further for modern buyers in the new model year, and we look forward to the opportunity to share it with you at Parks Chevrolet.
As you may already know, the Corvette Stingray is available in coupe or convertible form, and comes available with a Z51 Performance Package to add a little extra boost to your driving experience. We'll explore more of those details down below, but if you simply just want to get behind the wheel, complete the contact form on this page or give us a call at 316-775-5445.
The Corvette Stingray has a 6.2-liter V8 engine, which can come with a supercharger that boosts the standard 460 horsepower to 650 horsepower, all while delivering 650 lb-ft of torque. Two transmission options are also available, including an 8-speed automatic transmission with a close-ratio gear spread for lightning quick shifts and paddle shifters. You can also get your Corvette with a 7-speed manual.
The Corvette Stingray comes with many of the same tech features found in other Chevy models, such as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and in-vehicle Wi-Fi. But, with the Corvette, technology blends with performance to deliver unique equipment like a reconfigurable instrument cluster that can display things like g-force and tire temperature. You'll also find an available head-up display that projects things like speed and rpms onto the windshield ahead of you.
Drive Mode Select
If you buy a Corvette, you no doubt care about performance. With the 2018 Corvette Stingray, you can adjust that performance to best suit your particular driving needs through Drive Mode Select. This feature allows you to switch between modes like Weather, Eco, Tour, Sport and Track to adjust up to 12 performance variables to get the best driving experience possible in any given situation.
What's New on the Corvette Stingray for 2018?
Despite the success of the Corvette Stingray in 2017, it gets even better for 2018. For example, new interior stitching colors are available, which include red, yellow and a new blue hue. There is also a new Spice Red convertible top and an available Jet Black suede-wrapped interior with a carbon fiber trim.
For performance, the available Performance Data Recorder now has new data channels, such as wheel speed, individual suspension displacements, yaw rate, and temperatures for the intake air and ambient air. Magnetic Ride Control, which reads the road at each millisecond you're driving to adjust the suspension, is now offered as a standalone feature. Speaking of performance, we also can't forget about the available Z51 Performance Package which adds unique top-of-the-line equipment for brakes, cooling, suspension and more, while adding a performance exhaust and aero package. For 2018, the Corvette Stingray now comes standard with the 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels that were previously Z51 exclusives.
As you can see, if you desire performance, it's tough to beat the 2018 Chevy Corvette Stingray. To learn more about its availability for a test drive, you can reach out to us here at Parks Chevrolet.
