2018 Jeep Wrangler Sport vs. Sahara

Introducing the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler! Jeep has implemented a wide variety of updates for 2018, including new engine options, features and capabilities. The new Wrangler is also lighter than ever before thanks to a 200-pound reduction even with the aluminum body panels on the high-strength steel frame. For 2018 Jeep has also made removing the Wrangler’s top even easier thanks to a variety of engineering updates. Now there are three ways to remove the top. For the removable hardtop, the lighter roof panels make it easy to snap off just as the spring-assisted soft top is. On the fabric Sky One-Touch, the roof simply power-slides from the top.

Choose from four trims, including the Sport, Sport S, Sahara and Rubicon each with its own engine options and high-tech features. With that said, should you choose the base Sport model or move up to the Sahara trim? Here’s a closer look at how the two compare.

The most significant difference between the Sport and Sahara models are the features and equipment available. Not only is the Sahara model raised higher off the ground, but it’s also only available as a 4-door model. The Sport, on the other hand, is available in both a 2-door and 4-door model.

All 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sport models are standard with a black hardtop option, 5.0-inch touchscreen, 12-volt accessory outlets, 115-volt AC outlet, clever storage areas throughout the cabin, body-colored sport bars and much more. Both the Sport and Sahara models are standard with a Command-Trac 4×4 system with a 2.72:1 crawl ratio, skid plates, front and rear tow hooks and up to 30 inches of water fording.

Where the Sahara model stands out is its two-piece body-color fender flares, body-colored hardtop option and higher ground clearance. It’s also standard with a two-speed Selec-Trac full-time transfer case, LED foglights, satellite radio and much more.

We expect to have the new Wrangler in stock sometime in 2018. Contact our team to request more information and reserve yours today!
